The sun had risen from the east as it had every morning. It rose above the luscious green grass, high above the trees, causing the darken sky to fade into the light, inch by inch. The stars began to disappear one by one, the moon had been setting in the west, sinking deeper into the ground. The dew dripped from the leaves, and made the grounds glisten. The birds had begun singing their morning songs; greeting the warm morning that would start the day.
I had watched you from afar; as I had done so long ago. I stay far into the shadows for you cannot see me. I watch you place your Minister robe upon your shoulders, as it fell gracefully down your body. A smile had curled my lips as I could see you smile before the mirror you stood before. I press a hand to the window as I peered in the window I was so fond of looking out every morning when I was alive. I saw you leave the room and I followed only to see you leave, through the door we had once entered as an engaged couple. You got into the car and left to go for the work you had desired since Hogwarts. There I had stayed, for quite a while. Wondering what it would have been like if I had never left.
The sun had begun to set by the time the birds began to sing their last song, greeting the night as they had greeted the day. I was there, sitting in the willow tree we once stood underneath. It was the place where we had become one. I looked up into the sky and smiled. It was almost time before I could make my presence known. The sun was now taking it's last peek of the earth as the first star made it's appearance.
Suddenly, a silver-white mist had rumbled over the grounds. The wind blew gently, as the trees began to dance. A young woman stepped out from the mist; wearing a long white dress. Her long dark hair flowed over her shoulders. She walked onto the once dew ground with her bare feet. She strolled onto the grounds she once walked as Nelle Malfoy. She considered herself to be known that even though she was now deceased. She danced along the grounds onto the grass she once layed in, the sun hitting her soft skin, making it glow as it had in life, only much lighter. She knew this was one of the many places she was most happy, and here she was willing to stay. [/color]

Draco drove back to his Estate like every day, well night. His mind occupied with a million and one things. Trying to figure out what the hell was causing the dissapearences. Working to hide it from the muggles. He didn't feel like visiting the Prime Minister any time soon. The first time he met the man he had tried to push him out the window. That had been a laugh in the family. He scowled into the rear view mirror. He wasn't feeling to hot either but that was understandable. He was doing many hours in the office having meetings. Especially with the Aurors. With Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley always coming in for one thing or another. Surprisingly he had agreed with everything they had requested. It was necissary. His job wasn't to hold a grudge and make things better for him. It was for the Wizarding Community. No matter how strange it would have sounded for him years ago.
The scowl dissapeared and instead a sad smile replaced it. There was only one reason, one person that he had changed for. Although she had left him a few years ago. But with some of the most amazing children he could have asked for. The kids he didn't spend too much time with when they were around. The ones he dreamt about when he didn't dream of his late wife. But now they were off at Hogwarts and he was left quite alone at the Estate. That part reminded him of his childhood. The vast house with no one around. He supposed that's why there was a zoo on that estate. A zoo he visited on his short amount of free time and just enjoyed their company. His mother visited at times. Like always, with her bags of sweets he could never deny. The ones she always reminded to give to some lady friend. A lady friend he would keep for no more than a month... because he couldn't bring himself to spend the time with her.
He knew it would have been a different story if his wife was involved. He would come home to her every night. Kiss her goodbye in the mornings... Make slow sweet love on the hot lazy weekends like they used to. He was home. The sad look in his eyes still visible when he shut his door. Not bothering to pull out the keys of the ignition or lock the door. There was no need when you were in a place so remote. Now when the kids were there. He had to stop Scorpius and Alexander taking his car for a ride, and had to start keeping his keys with them... Watching in amazement, amusement, and slight annoyance when the boys hotwired his car one time. He stood out by his car feeling the cool night breeze hitting him. His mind swimming with the meeting he had tomorrow. And thoughts of what could have been.
"d**nit." He muttered into the dark pulling at his tie in annoyance. He was used to them, but at the moment it felt so very restricting. He just wanted to get inside and drink a goblet of Firewhisky. That always helped calm him down. His case was still in his left hand, feeling it only momantarily as it brushed against his leg. He walked to the door and set it down on the top step before pulling his cloak off. He opened the door and walked inside. Leaving the case on the doorway table. Leaving his cloak right on top of it. He walked towards his bedroom. With a mind full of changing into casual clothes. Getting to his room he quickly stripped off his work clothes and walked towards his closet. Pulling out a t-shirt he hadn't worn. And walking towards a drawer and pulling out a pair of cargo shorts.
It was night. But maybe he could go fishing for a few hours. He didn't have much work left to do at home. He always saw to make sure to do most of it in his office. It always seemed more convinent. He hated bringing in work into his home. Grabbing his wand from where he had dropped his clothes. He walked out of his bedroom. Into his kitchen and pulled out his goblet, and bottle of firewhisky. Measuring it in the goblet he set the bottle on the counter and taking his goblet with him. Walked out once more through the front door. Ignoring his case and cloak. He stood out on the doorsteps. Looking out onto his dark grounds. A second later he walked back inside, flipped on one of the switches and walked out to see the front lit up in certain places. He began walking aimlessly. He decided going fishing right now was not a good idea. Not now. Maybe in a few days he could unwind.

It was a rule for the dead to follow. Yes believe it or not, there were rules for the afterlife that even the dead had to follow. Just like in life, she had to respect the rules if she wanted to keep an eye on her family and friends. She had watched the morning sun rise, like she did in life, and then just bummed around the grounds, looking at how well her husband had kept it all these years. She had ventured into her gardens she once planted, taking care of her plants when the children were young. She smiled at the thought of Scorpius, playing in the dirt, digging holes and catching bugs. Krya would be playing with her dolls. Brushing their hair, and playing tea party. Alexander and Alexandria would be playing tag or coloring in their coloring books. Nelle remembers a lot from her life: the good and the bad, but she remembers what it was like when it was just the two of them, struggling to keep together, since their love was that strong. Nelle remembered what the struggle was like. How his father, tried to rip them apart, to making fault rumors, but their love had over come that. They knew eachother very well and knew the other would never play the other.
Nelle only smiled when she thought about her past life, she had left, and waited til for the time she can appear to her husband. She had evasdropped on his conversations. It had brought a smile as he had still thought of her as a real person, always telling her about his exciting day or how crummy the day was. She would answer, but being a ghost, he wouldn't be able to hear her. Now she was going to make her appearence known to him. He had been missing her so very much, and Nelle knew it. She tried to make her presence known to him. She moved things around, his goblet of firewhiskey, his shoes, his clothes, even moved his quills and ink bottles right next to him, but atlas he didn't connect it to her.
This all ran in her mind. Before she knew it, it was now the time where she would appear into a soild form. She saw that first star poked through the darken sky and that brought a smirk to her lips. She disappeared into a silver-white mist that was rumbled through the grounds of the land she had shared with her husband. She then stepped out from the mist in a white, silk dress that flowed down her long slender body. Her hair was black, still flowing down her shoulders. Her eyes were dark and full of life, and her skin had glowed with a tint of white light. She didn't have the senses to feel, to touch, nor to taste. But her other senses of sight and sound were still in contact.
She looked over to see her husband had returned home. A smile had curled her dark lips as she walked over to the manor with bare feet, and gazed into the window. There he was, pouring himself a drink. A drink that he commonly drunk when it had been a hard day at work. Though when she was alive, she was always his stress reliever, and now firewhiskey took her place in that. She watch him walk to the door and turned on a light, there she followed him and stood in the doorway. She watched him walk away, and before she knew it she replied to him. "Hello Draco." was all she said.

Draco hadn't been walking for more than a few moments when he heard his name being called out. Nobody was supposed to be at his house! The kids were at Hogwarts, and the others in their large family were together at their homes! So who the hell had invaded into his space. He drew out his wand in a blink of an eye, turning around trying to find the source. He peered at the many trees wondering if they hid behind one. That would be the perfect place to hide if they wanted to attack him and not get hit themselves. But he had exceptional aim and could move as quickly as he always could. Peering at the trees and their shadows caused by the lights he had turned on he cast them one last look before looking around at the grounds. He had almost missed the source that called his name. Easily overlooking her, it seemed natural. That had happened before. But then he remembered.
His mouth fell open in utter shock. His wand hand slacked as he gazed onto the lithe figure of Nelle Malfoy. There was no way she could be standing there. She was dead. An awful moment of anger surged through him. For a few seconds he thought someone was using her as an inferi. But she looked nothing like an inferi would. She looked fantastic. Just like the years they had spent together. She looked heavenly. He blinked slightly and let out a low chuckle. Maybe his age rising was causing him not to be able to hold the Firewhisky like he used to. He glanced down at the half empty goblet in his hand. Was it possible that little amount of Firwhisky could do him in. He chuckled even louder. "I'm seeing apparitions now." He mused to himself now swirling the firewhisky in the goblet. "All because I'm drunk." He continued with a slightly clouded expression. "And all I took was a few sips of this stuff..." He trailed off now frowning into the goblet.
It's not possible that she's there Draco. She's dead remember. His mind seemed to keep repeating over and over. But he couldn't shake off the feeling that he had seen her. Only one way to find out. He thought to himself as he tilted the goblet and let the smoky Firewhisky fall to the ground and instantly disappeared. He looked up and as he had seen before. Nelle was there. "I'm insane." He muttered to himself darkly. He couldn't go insane now. He would lose everything. Including his children. He took a step forward and blinked slightly. She was still there. "I will have to go book a place in a ward at St. Mungos." He continued muttering as he frowned at the figure that resembled Nelle so perfectly. Precisely in everyway. He noticed a glow around her. A warm glow. He pitched the goblet towards the trees and didn't even look where it landed. He needed to find out now if he was insane or not.
So his steps were wide and quick. He had reached Nelle in no time. From there he looked down at her with his frown still in place. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, fear, sadness. "I'm most definitely insane." He concluded more to himself now running both his hands through his hair. He was beginning to think that revelation was going to cause him to pass out. But instead of that he reached forward and touched her hair. He stumbled back the moment he felt the texture of her hair. It was exactly the same as it had been before. That only meant someone out there in the Wizarding World was pulling his leg. Someone was trying their hardest to be harsh and they had succeeded by... Who knows?! Giving polyjuice potion to some random woman to pretend to be his dead wife. He had a glare forming now. "Who the Hell are you?!" He demanded his voice shaking with fury, and carrying through the grounds. He gripped his wand tighter, forcing himself to wait for answers instead of cursing this imposter into nothing.

Nelle knew there were fears, impressions and other things that the living will encounter. Fear that their loved one was ressurected to do bad. Those who would use their fatal weakness to gain power. Fear for their loved one that may not have fully cross-over. Impressions because if they see their loved one standing before them, they would think they were nuts, or just simply crazy. There could be sadness along with that, but Nelle took that challenge. She had deeply miss her husband. The man who took her from a world who saw her worthless; to a world where she could be anyone. He gave her the gift of being a mother, and a wife. She smiled sweetly at him. He had indeed age, but he certainly looked the same she remembered him to be. He was still very handsome, and no matter how much he had aged, she still loved him very deeply.
A smile had creased her dark lips, when he searched around the grounds to where that voice came from. For a minute she thought he couldn't see her, for some reason. She knew he was very territorial. He was even territorial with her. If any man looked at her in that flirty way, he would have stopped it there. Draco took things to heart, especially the things he cared so much about; such as his family and his home. She only chuckled to herself as she looked into his eyes, her lips curled into a heart-filled smile. "Is that a bad thing? Seeing ghosts?" She asked, looking at the half empty goblet that once had the brown-golden color to it. "Besides, your not drunk. I remember it took you more than just one drink to get drunk." She spoke, knowing that Draco was not much of an alcholic. He didn't abuse it and she hardly saw him drunk. She wanted to walk over and hold him the way she did in life, but atlas she couldn't. "It could be, your tired. I see sadness, and tiredness in your eyes." She said locking her dark eyes to his.
She gazed around at her home and smiled. "It looks so lovely, just like I had remember it in life." She spoke as she looked at the thin white curtains that were a bit see through. "I remember when you surprised me when our house was finally built. How the grounds looked so lavish, so wide." She spoke remembering that. "I was wearing..I was wearing a long silked dress, mostly because I had just given birth Scorpius." She said as she picked up the curtain and played with it. She turned towards him. "Your not insane Draco." She said as she sighed heavily, placing the curtain down. "I've been dead for nearly ten years, and now I appear to you; though I've seen you so many times before." She smiled, but it faded. She watched him pitch the goblet into the woods that surround their home.
She watched him walk over to her, as she looked into his eyes when he had reached her. "You can say that, unless you truely believe I am here." She spoke. "Your not the kind to be insane. Your so head-strong, so strong-willed, to be insane." She spoke, knowing that her husband had increditable strength. He didn't believe it when he was younger, but she helped him see how strong he truely was. She looked outside at the vast grounds. She closed her eyes when he touched her hair, but then opened them when he had stopped. She felt sadness when he erupted with anger. She didn't blame him. "I'm Nelle. Born into the Black family, to Sirius and Laura Black. Late wife to Draco Malfoy, mother to Scorpius, Kyra, Alexander and Alexandria." She answered as she turned to see he pointed the wand at her. She looked up at him. "Go ahead, curse me..if that proves something to you." She said, standing firm.

Draco didn’t know what to do. He had never encountered anything like this before. There was no way he could. If it had been an imposter he would have had no hesitations in cursing the person to nothing. But he was being held back by what she told him. Only Nelle and he knew of how it was the first time they walked through the house, with Scorpius now born. But he wouldn’t put it past anyone who was trying to get to him to go to extensive research and figure out things he would tell no one. But there was no way that was possible! He and Scorpius were the only remaining people that were there and still alive during that day. And Scorpius was way too young to even remember that. And He sure as hell didn’t tell anyone. He was a private person. He gripped his wand even tighter if possible. He was surprised the wand hadn’t snapped between his fingers by now. His grip was nearing death grip. Draco knew he should be more cautious now if this person knew so much about his earlier life. Especially if they were pretending to be his wife… who was dead. Something had to be done.
“Where did you get this information?” He asked the person who looked like Nelle. “This has never been publicized, so where did you get it?” He asked even more urgently. So much for that relaxing night he wanted. He wanted nothing more than to believe Nelle was back, but that was fighting against nature. And what he wanted was the best for her. “What is your purpose here?” He continued asking. He was gaining more control over his mind now. He hadn’t attacked. He still wanted more answers. Even though she had already told him a lot of information that only a select few knew. The mixed emotions he held in the pit of his stomach was somewhat suffocating. He couldn’t help but feel the fury about the possibility that someone was impersonating his dead wife. Sadness and worry if Nelle hadn’t fully crossed over like she should have. And now wanted to fully cross and be at peace. Or that she had chosen to stay for her family. But that seemed more like torture than continue living the way she once had. Then there was confusion. If this was Nelle, then how in the Name of Merlin would you explain she was solid?! And that’s where the imposter theory came in.
Draco was shivering slightly. Not because it was cold outside, because it wasn’t really. But because of the emotions that were all mixing into one huge… monster. It was a hybrid. Something he couldn’t even begin to explain. Not even if he attempted to try. He couldn’t begin to even wonder where one emotion started and where it ended. He was feeling slightly sick but he would have to hold back a bit on that to get the answers he wanted. As much as he wanted to believe that people came back from the dead. He had to be as cautious as ever. If they did come back, who was to say they came back the same? But looking into her eyes it was exactly the same as it had been so many years ago. Going back to the first time they met at Hogwarts and didn’t get along at all. It had been those eyes that were always there as he changed little by little. Forgetting and ignoring things he should have kept at the top of his mind as his father instructed. It was those eyes he saw the flash of sadness cross through. Would an imposter feel sadness if the person they were trying to fool didn’t believe them? But shouldn’t an imposter be talented in acting. But nobody could act that well. Could they?
“I’m not going to curse you.” He said evenly. Surprised how hard he had to struggle to keep his voice even. “But you are going to answer my questions.” He said in a way that showed there would be nothing up for negotiating about what he set. His eyes were repeating the same questions he had asked a few seconds before as he continued to look into the Dark eyes of the Nelle that stood before him. Could polyjuice potion even get every characteristic of the person they were pretending to be. No, It wasn’t. The voice wasn’t the same. The way you thought and spoke would be the way you would if you looked yourself. But nobody could impersonate Nelle. She hadn’t been around to be watched and spied on. And he didn’t even want to begin thinking that this has had started way before Nelle had even passed. There was no denying he was lost now. And he couldn’t even go to his advisors and ask for their opinions without them thinking he was insane. He still had a slight feeling he was insane even though the Nelle told him he wasn’t. Just as she had assured him of things years before. His breath came out shakier than it ever had. His body was still slightly trembling. And he was still looking down into the Dark eyes that had belonged to Nelle for years.

Nelle had a bit of sadness when she had passed. She was sad because she had left the man she truely loved behind, her children that she bore in life, from the love that had touched her more than anyone could have imagined. A love that was considered forbidden. She could not cry, for it was an emotion she could not feel anymore. She knew Draco was unstable when she had died, and yet worried he would take his own life; leaving their children alone. Nelle knew she would have thought the same way too, if it had been Draco that was taken from her. She came back to earth, because she loved him, loved their children and wanted to watch over them as she had done in life.
She was happy around the time of her death, because she had died in the light, and not in the dark. She had died with the man who made the world a much better place, had given her the gift of children and showing her the love she thought she would never feel for another. This made it much easier not to be afraid of death and now here she stood, before her former husband, who was still considering her as an imposter. She didn't take offense to it because she would have thought the same thing.
She smiled when he asked her where she had gotten that information. "I know this information because it was one of the most happiest times I had in life. Finally having a place I could call my own." She answered. "I was very lost earlier in life, never fitting in with wha the world saw me as, but the moment I was bond to you, and finally having a home I could claim my own, I found where I belonged." She said, remembering some fragiments of her early life. She wandered over towards some pictures that hung on the wall. "Scorpius has indeed grown into a fine young man, hasn't he?" She said as she stroked the portrait of Scorpius. "How he enjoyed being my little helper in the kitchen or in the gardens." She smiled, as she would normally cry but couldn't. She wish she could have just shedded a tear but sadly couldn't. She smiled at Kyra, who was fully dressed in a victorian dress and smiling without a fear in the world what people thought of her. "Kyra..how could I explain her. Life at parties, popular with the guys, and now hogging the bathroom." She laughed. "What a beautiful girl she turned out to be." Nelle said as she gazed at the portrait of the young, girl with the long black hair and pale gray eyes. Her lips pressed with a flirtatious smirk. "I remember her playing with her tea set, always playing dress up, always a daddy's girl..still is." She smiled at Draco, and then looked down at the rest of the photos. "Alexander, the second heir, and yet, so sweet. He looks exactly like you." She said as she looked back over at him. "I remember him always causing havoc with his brothers, and yet so gentle with the girls. Ran around the yard like a wild man, always tagging me and then hiding. Always hidding in the bushes." She said laughing at the memories of young Alexander. "and.." she went over to the picture of Alexandria, who hardly smile, and hid under a veil of black hair. "Little Alexandria. So shy, so quiet, and yet so very smart." She said as she had watched over all her children and watched how much the grew into teenagers. "I remember her always wanting to read and always picking up animals, or petting the animals we have." She smiled, and lowered her head. "And yet I left them all behind at a young age." She spoke as she sighed and left her hand fall down. "And I left you.." She said with a bit of sadness in her voice. She heard him shivering in the background. "Are you cold?" She asked as she walked over to him.
She smiled. "Good..cause it would have gone through me." She spoke. "I know you don't believe I'm Nelle, and..and I don't blame you. I would have thought the same thing if you came back from the dead." She chuckled a bit then it faded. She played with her fingers, as she did in life, and then looked back up at him. "Sure..I will answer your questions, if that will help you see, it really is me, and not some lady friends trying to get close to you." She said. She had known in life that a lot of women were trying to sink their claws into Draco, She had to deal with that, but her and Draco had been through a lot, and those girls were just another reason that made Draco and Nelle keep their love strong.
