Alexandria sat through all her morning and afternoon classes, always paying attention to what each and every professor had to say and copied down all the notes the professor asked and then got up when the bell had rang, letting students know that classes were finally over for the day.
Being the person she was, she was the last person to leave the classroom, taking her time to straighten out her notes, and placing them gently in her bookbag. She really wasn't in much of a hurry to leave the classroom. She finally stood up and left the classroom, as her long black hair, flowed down her shoulders, and into the afternoon sun.
She was different from the rest of her family. She wasn't much of the socalite that her father, brothers and sister was.It was the begining of her third year and she was dealing with certain feelings that guys and girls her age were feeling. She had seen couples holding hands, even kissing eachother through the corridors. She wondered what it was like to be one of them. To have someone care about you so much, and to feel that kind of feeling. She sighed as she made her way over to the magificent gardens that she enjoyed. She smiled as she strolled over towards the middle and layed right there. She loved how the sun warmed her face, how the wind blew gently around her, making the flowers dancing all around her. This was a quiet spot she could be free. Free from studying, free of being perfect, free from being the person she longed to be. Here she felt herself.

Alexa almost ran out of her last class when the bell rang. She went to her common room portrait. She answered the question necessary to get in correctly and went straight to her dormitory. She dumped her stuff on her bed and ran out of her common room. She went toward the gardens.
When she finally got there she started to think about changing into her animagus. Then she let go of that thought when she saw a student laying down on the garden. Being the person she is, she went to introduce herself. She stopped at about 3 feet away from the girl and saw she was a Ravenclaw. She looked younger than her, then again Alexa herself looked like she belonged in a younger year. She smiled and said "Hi, isn't it great outside today." Alexa was always known for using the direct approach. When she saw she got the student's attention she continued "I'm Alexa, Alexa Longbottom."

Alex had gotten lost in the luscious lands of Hogwarts Castle, wondering what it had been like for her mother, and father to have been here. She had currently read her mother's journal that had been hidden in her father's desk up in his study. She didn't know if her father had known it had been missing. She knew he father was wrapped up in grief over the loss of his late wife. She was his best friend, his partner, and now she was gone, taken in August when Alex and her twin had been five years old. Alex sighed as she gazed into the horzion, watching a couple birds fly off into the distance, and disappearing into the sun.
Alex thought she had been alone out here in the gardens, mostly because it wasn't the most popular spot for students. She had been here for two years and she was usually alone, isolated from everyone. She heard a voice behind her. She turned around to see another Ravenclaw student. Alex gave the girl a small smile and introduced herself. 'Hello. Nice to meet you Alexa. My name is Alex, Alexandria Malfoy." She said in her calm, soft voice.

Alexa sat down next to where Alex was. She smiled and looked around. After a few moments she said "Nice to meet you Alex. What year are you in? I believe I've never seen you before. I'm a fifth year." She knew what Alex was going to say. You look a lot younger than that, why I would have passed you as a third year, or somewhere near there. It was always the same thing. Everyone saw her as a little kid because of her appearance. Sometimes it has its advantages, but it could also be a drag.

Alex sat and lingered on the many thoughts that came to her mind. She gently shook her head when Alexa had said something. "It's nice to meet you." She said in a soft voice. "I'm a third year, though I don't sound like I am." She spoke to Alexa. Alexandria had remarkle talents for being clever and wise. Some of the students there mistake her for a sixth year for being so smart but sadly she was a lot younger. She only laughed when Alexa had said she had never seen her before. "Not many people do. I am mostly up in the library or the common room, when others are usually outside doing something." She said softly, gazing off into the distance.
It was true. Alex wasn't the type of person who wasn't seen by many. It was mostly because she always had her nose in a book, and she didn't talk very much. She wasn't your typical Malfoy. The Malfoys were known to be extremely social and only thought higher of themselves. Alex hated being refered to what her ancesters had been, because if you looked at Alex, you would have been surprised because she didn't act that way, but it was the people who saw through her that made it better.

Alexa nodded in agreement. She never had met the girl, but she knew how it was like not being known by every one. She herself was not seen much but not for the same reasons. She was mostly outside, and always hid in the darkness of the forest where her feline eyesight never failed. She always loved changing form. It was boring being in the same body all the time. It always frustrated her when she couldn't change because there was too many people near. She also felt sorry for them. The were stuck, they didn't even know what it was like.
"Yeah, that explains it. Thats something we have in common. Most people don't see me around either. But I am outside." She sighed and layed down. Then she continued, "Although I do love reading. It's peaceful, and enchanting." This was just an understatement. Reading for her was like a nirvana. When she was in her reading stage, nothing else mattered. She didn't hear anything ese, except her own voice. She couldn't see anything else, except her book and it's words. She couldn't think about anything else, except about the pages she was reading.

Alex had always been a quiet girl. Always curled up on the couch and reading a book. Durning most of her faher's get togethers or grand balls he held, she was always up in her room, or in the library reading, only to come down to get something to eat and rush back up. She didn't care to be alone, or wasn't in big social groups. Alex wasn't close with her father as some girls were. Mostly because to her, her father was like a stranger and yet the bond that linked them was genetics and blood. Maybe if her mother had lived..things would be different.
Alex smiled a bit. "Yeah that would be the answer. The only social things I am in is breakfest, lunch, dinner, or classes..other than that, I am in the library, common room and sometimes out here." She said. "Reading takes my mind off things mostly. " Alex said as she remembered the book she was currently reading.

Alexa laughed. Remembering how she always would be apart from everyone in her family. Every one was very energetic and she couldn't keep up. She would keep to herself. She loved her family and always loved spending time with them but she was not always willing to. She wanted pirvacy and reading was always her most accepted excuse to be free from the commitment. It seemed she and Alex had more in comon than just their names.
Refering to places she likes to be outside is always an option. She layed down next to Alex and looked up at the sky. Not taking her eyes off of her she said "Yeah, Food is always important between things. I can keep to myself in the Forest, Lake, or right here." Then turning to her she said "But if I want peace and quiet I like being in the towers. Its nice up there, with the stars." She smiled and looked back up only to be dissapointed. It was too early for even twilight to begin.
