Scorpius muttered furiously under his breath as he made his way up to the Owlery. Of course he knew he had forgotten a few things at home but he didn't expect to forget so much. The fact that he forgot to bring along some of his school necessities. Who would have thought he would forget his school Dress Shoes. Surely not him. He expected to forget a few books that he would need. Not that he didn't forget some of them. He had. That was no big surprise. Also that he would forget his cauldron and a couple of other clothing he surely could not live without. He had composed a letter for his father. He would just have to survive yet another year of his father sending his things via owl and have the Majority of Hogwarts see that he had forgotten most of his things yet again. So much for him promising his father that he had become much more responsible.
In his hurry to climb the stairs to reach the owlery he slipped on one and barely managed to hold on to the stone railing beside him. That would have been a very nasty fall and would have probably required Scorpius to pay an early visit to the Hospital Wing. He wasn't keen on visiting that place much this year, but time could only tell. Letting out a sigh of relief that he hadn't fallen he walked back down a few steps to where his letter had slipped from his hand when he slipped. Seeing it as a sign of luck that it hadn't slipped over the stairs and onto the grounds he climbed upwards once more. Still in a hurry as he would need his supplies as soon as possible. He would show his father. He didn't need to send more than Four letters asking for his things. He had checked his trunk this morning and realized very imporant things he had forgot to add to his pile.
Finally reaching the owlery he looked around the round walls as the hundreds of Owls sleeping. A few looking at him with large owlish eyes. He set out to find his owl. He would have some trouble finding it as he knew Ember liked to be in the shadier part of the owlery. She herself was dark so it would be a feat. "Ember." He hissed her name as he looked around the owlery for her. Surely she wouldn't be out hunting at this time. "Ember." He hissed once more, peering into hole like nests set around the walls. Each step he took there was non stop crunches of small critters and straw. "Embe-"He began to hiss her name once more when she flew down from her perch and flew at his face. Ducking down and turning to glare at Ember who was dancing on the floor of the owlery with her mouth opening as if laughing.
"Shut up you crazy bird." Scorpius muttered as he walked over to an open window and opened the letter he had written earlier that day.
1,September Dad,
I need you to send me over a few things. I would Really, Really, Really Appreciate it! It's not stupid little things that I would like with me, it's things I actually need this time.
Somehow I managed to forget my Cauldron, a few Underwear, socks and some of my muggle clothing. I noticed I hardly had any when I checked my trunk this morning. I also forgot my Transfiguration, Potions and Charms book. I will need those ASAP! Don't want to recieve detention so early in the year. And you wouldn't want me to either.
I guess I should tell you that Krya, Alexander, and Alexandria are doing great. Well, At least I think they are. Haven't really seen them this morning. But I'm sure they've settled alright.
I'll leave you to your work now. But don't forget I need those as soon as possible. I don't care when you send them. Just... Send them!
Thanks! Scorpius Malfoy

Lily found herself just laying on her bed, lazing about after she got off the Hogwarts Express. She was petting her cat, Padfoot, absentmindedly for she was lost in thought of another song that was forming within her head. She could hear the beat and the rhythm in her head, and thew words just seemed to be forming themselves. She then began humming the words and the notes realizing that a new song had just formed within in her. She smiled and cooed at Padfoot and scratched him underneath his chin, "Your mommy just created another new song!" His response was a listless meow, and she just scrunched up her nose. "Everyone's a critic," she sighed.
She then jumped off her bed causing a hiss to escape her cat's mouth for she had disturbed his peace, she rolled her eyes, "Oh get over it." She then walked over to trunk, cringing slightly, for she knew she had so much to put away before the night was over. She then sighed and reluctantly opened her trunk only to see the mess she packed away only a couple of nights before. As she shifted through her mess of a trunk, she was looking for something in particular, something very dear to her heart, her songbook. As she dug through her trunk, she wasn't finding it, she wasn't seeing it, and it made her heart drop. How could she had not packed it? How could she possibly forget? Then it occurred to her, she was writing late into the night, and when the morning she awoke from Hogwarts she left it sitting beside her bed, forgetting it in the the rush of heading off to Hogwarts.
She just shook her head at her stupidity, her reddish, orange locks flying about her face, and rushed off towards the Owlery. As she climbed the Tower she tripped only three times, which was an accomplishment for her, for even though she was graceful upon a broom, walking on her two feet was an entirely different story. She reached the door and opened it gently, slipping into the Owerly.
At first she didn't notice anyone else in the room, for she was on a mission. She cooed at one of the Hogwarts owls, "Come here, come here, here's an owl pellet for you," as she held an owl pellet up to the nearest owl. Luckily enough for her the owl took interest in the owl pellet and accepted it eagerly and then nipping her hand affectionately, "Oh well you're just a happy little owl aren't you," she cooed once again.
She then attached her letter to the owl's leg.
September 1
Hi Mom and Dad!
I just wanted to let you know that the train ride went well, and it was nice seeing all my friends again. Oh how I've missed them so, even though I've seen a lot of them over the summer, but still you understand my excitement. When I was unpacking, or well you know attempting too, I realized I left my songbook on my bedside table in my room. I would really appreciate it if you could send that to me. I think I might go crazy if i do not have my songbook, for you both know how I love to write. Thanks! I hope all is well back home!
Love, Lily
She then sighed as she watched the owl take her letter to her parents. She just hoped they would receive the letter tonight and send her book to her tomorrow. She was going to be to anxious without it by her side. It was then that she realized another presence in the room with her. As she scanned the room with her brilliant green eyes she noticed Scorpious furiously scribbling a note, and she just giggled. In an amused voice she greeted him, "Well hello again Scorpious."

Scorpius had been too busy scratching out a few things from his letter, and adding it again only worded differently. His father tended to stumble over some of the words Scorpius would write. Not only that but his owl was still fooling around on the floor. Weren't the female owls usually the ones that tended to do the job better. At least that's what the woman who sold him Ember told him. She was just probably trying to get rid of the bird. He could see why, sometimes she was impossible to work with. It was a wonder she was trained to deliver messages in the first place. Either way, he adored his Owl. It had yet to fail him, even though she did manage to make his patience disolve to nothing. No trace of it would be left and he would normally leave cursing the pestiential bird that he was stupid enough to buy. He supposed she was just imensely spoiled. He didn't doubt it. Their owls had a whole Owl room at their house and a vast space for them to hunt close by if they wanted.
But he could tell when someone entered the Owlery a bit after him. He had to admit he wasn't too shocked that some other student would be up here at this time trying to send pleading letters to their parents to send over a couple of things they had forgotten. He heard the voice and the bribing before he turned to look at the person. Lily Potter was up here sending a letter to Merlin knows who for Merlin knows what. His urgent expression changed to one of bemusement. He watched a near owl come to her and take her object used as Bribing. Too bad his Owl was immune to the bribing... or maybe just his. This thought caused him to look over to Ember and glare at her as she comenced her dancing. She just had to be an odd one. And he just had to go on and get the odd one. With an inaudible sigh he turned back to look at Lily who was still with the Owl. "I should probably trade you in for one of the school Owls." He threatened Ember, then quickly took a step back when she imediately halted her dancing.
Yes. Because that wasn't odd. Taking another step back and keeping a weary eye on Ember he wrote a quick note at the bottem. P.S. Ember is going to attack me... she's stairing again. I've told you about this before. That was when he heard his name being called out and he looked up with a start. It probably isn't good to say he had forgotten he had company. But that was exactly what had happened. He was preoccupied with more... pressing matters. "Lily." He greeted calmly as he turned to give Ember a sideways look. She was standing so still and still staring at him. He changed his weight from one foot to the other. That bird could make him feel uncomfertable any day. Walking a bit away from her again, noticing how her head seemed to follow, he foced his attention to Lily. "Did you forget something as well?" He asked now sealing his letter as he dropped his pen into his pants pocket, at the same moment pulling out a wire to tie the letter closed and make sure it is sealed securely. He was just paranoid it would probably fall and the more help he gave Ember, the better.

After she watched the owl fly away she felt a gentle sigh of relief escape from her pink lips. Just knowing that owl was going to reach her parents by tonight, meant that she would receive her songbook tomorrow. That satisfied her now, for the time being at least. Although she cursed herself for forgetting it. Her songbook was like her journal, her very being for, not only did she write her songs in it, she wrote about the frustrations and deepest secrets of her young life. Without having it by her side she felt empty for she couldn't write to express herself which was like being a fish out of water.
She then turned her attention to the spectacle that was playing out before her eyes. For it looked like big, strong, tall Scorpious was edging away from his owl in what looked like terror. She looked over to see his owl stop doing its odd little dance and just stare down Scorpious. If Lily wasn't mistaken it looked as if it was getting ready to attack Scorpious for some reason or another. At this thought she just started to giggle for in her head she created the image of in her head of Scorpious being attacked by his owl in which his arms were batting widely around his head for his owl to go away. After she was over the initial funniness of the image in her head she was once again able to compose herself, as she wiped away a few tears that had formed in her green eyes.
When Scorpious finally did recognize her, luckily for her, she had composed herself once again. She smiled sweetly and replied to him with air of amusement in her voice, "Yes I did actually, my songbook. It looks like you forgot something as well." She then watched as he pulled out a piece of wire, evidently he wanted added protection to ensure his letter reached its destination. She then asked with a confused expression upon her face, "Are you going to tie that around your owl as well? Is that really necessary?" She question him on this because it seemed to her that it wasn't really necessary that he was just paranoid, and by the way his owl was acting if he tried to put that on it, it was going to attack, and Lily would laugh hysterically before helping him.

"Of course i'm not going to tie it to her. Last time I tried that... let's just say it was a long time ago. And I learned my lesson." He shot the bird another glare before turning back to Lily. "Your Song book eh?" He spoke now walking back to his owl forgetting about being cautious. The Stupid bird better behave or else, he really would trade it in. No matter how many years of loyal servitude... not loyal, grudging. Turning away his attention from Lily for the time being he crouched down to Ember. "Now. Now girl. Just give this to dad and he'll give you a treat. As will I." He bribed in a smooth calming voice. The owl stood impeccably still as Scorpius was handing the envelope over. He stayed there for a few seconds with the owl just continuing to stare at him. He had to stare back at the bird and refrained from flinching as it walked closer and snatched the letter from his hand. With a sigh he was about to say farewell to it and send it off. When the moment it snatched the letter it took off, making sure to slap him on his cheek with one of her wings.
"You'd think I treat her bad." He muttered slightly angrily as he pushed himself up to stand to his full height as he turned to Lily. "I swear that Owl is possesed. She's just too spoiled." He sighed shaking his head and putting back a bit of the wire he didn't use in his pocket to accompany his pen. "So you forgot your songbook." He tried once more now that he wasn't being disturbed by his owl. He had to realize he was feeling much more at ease without its constant stairing. That was just too odd. "How many more songs did you write this summer?" He asked conversationally as he looked around him and most of the owls were still asleep, minding their own business. Like an owl should. Not dancing around taking it upon themselves to make their owners feel as if they were being owned themselves. Rubbing the back of his neck slightly he thought more obscenities to call the Owl. Maybe he should use another owl next time and show Ember that she had to stop that.
"I somehow managed to forget a few... well a lot of things I need for classes." He managed to say with a crooked smile on his face. Sometimes it was embaressing for him to admit that he would forget such vital things. But it could happen to anyone. I mean, Even Lily managed to forget something that she held dear to herself. "But hopefully Dad will send them by tomorrow. Which I doubt. Ember has a bit of a flight out for her. Could be why she's not too happy with me. I do this every year." He admitted still looking over at Lily. The smell of Owls and their droppings and coughings was very, very strong. He walked over to where the windows would be and leaned out taking a deep breath of the fresh air out of the tower. "Planning on being good this year Potter?" He asked with a wicked grin on his face.

Lily just rolled her eyes at Scorpious' reply to her question. She knew that he had every intention tying that piece of wire around his owl, but then thought better of it since she asked him about it. She then turned her emerald green eyes on staring contest that was going on between Scorpious and his owl. She just shook her head at the tactics this boy was using just to control his owl. Didn't he know if he would just speak nicely to his owl and not show that he feared the stupid little thing, it wouldn't act like it did? But of course she wasn't going to tell him any of this, she was just going to sit back and enjoy the show. She then started to laugh when she saw Scorpious' owl hit him in the cheek, but quickly suppressed her laughter into a convincing coughing fit.
She looked up at him shyly as he pulled himself to full height, for he was much taller than her. She then shyly looked down and then through her heavily lidded eyelashes looked up and said, "Oh no, I don't think you treat your owl badly. I just think you are scared of the tiny little creature, and that it intimidates you." She then felt her awkwardness pass and she could finally look up at him, and her emerald eyes met his. She then was pleasantly surprised that he asked about her songbook and her songwriting. She figured he didn't care, or maybe he didn't care now either, but was just being nice. Either way, it was nice of him to ask, and besides its not every day she got to admire his good looks this close up. Oh what a silly girl she was being right now. Then with a rush of enthusiam she spoke, "Yes I can't believe I forgot my book at home. It's like I left a piece of my soul at home. I wrote several songs this summer. I actually wrote out the music and rhythmns for them as well, it took me forever, and I think I spent half of my summer on my keyboard, and of course the other half on my broom. I'd like to have a repeat performance of last year." She joked, for she was one of the main reasons that Gryffindor won the Quidditch cup last year.
A small giggled then escaped her lips as she saw the crooked smile that was now placed upon Scorpious' lips for she know he always had a habit of forgetting several of his school objects as well as his personal belongings. She smiled, "Ah yes, of course, you sure do not disappoint Scorpious, for every year it seems as if you forget something or other. But it happens, where just irresponsible, air-headed teenagers you know? Yet no wonder your bird is crazy, I thought she was going to attack you earlier," she mused. Once he brought up if she was going to be good this year, a slight smirk appeared upon her face, for she had planned quite the opposite. "Me be good? Never! Are you kidding me Malfoy, if anything I'm planning on sneaking out more this year!"

"I'm not scared of her!" He insisted almost in frustration. That's what his sister told him... and his father. "And she most certainly does not intimidate me!" Scorpius scowled slightly. He wasn't afraid of his owl at all. Whatever gave people that impression?! Just because he looked at it warily... "She's just completely spoiled and when something doesn't go her way. She attacks." He shrugged now relaxing slightly and looking almost unblinkingly at Lily. She herself wasn't failing to act a bit weird as well. But a moment later it seemed as he didn't have to think of that at all as she was being her normal talkative self again. And boy could she talk. Did she breath between all those words she said? Taking a breath to focus on the conversation once more he brought a small smile to his lips. The kind that only curved the ends of your lips. Almost reserved.
"Well that's good." He said still looking at her. "Not that you left a piece of your sould at home." He smirked thinking how she reminded him so much of Maddie. Only Lily was actually nice. Don't get it wrong. Maddie was nice... sometimes, when she wanted to be. She wasn't put in Slytherin for no particular reason might he add. "Your summer wasn't completely wasted then. You actually got something done." He shrugged... same thing for Maddie. "Aslo, I don't see how people can have the patience for standing over a keyboard and trying to find keys that seem to fit together." He shrugged, "I never found it that much fun." Yes, Maddie had tried to get him to play once in a while. He would stick to the unknown though. Make up a beat here and there. "And you can hope of a repeat performance like last years." He said a smirk now appearing completely taking over the miniscule smile he had been sporting not too long ago. "Only, it's not going to happen." Scorpius said confident. He was confident the Slytherin team would be up to play against some really good teams. As much as he hated to admit it.
The smile almost instantly came back to his lips but he fought it back. "Oh. No." He started. "I think maybe you and a couple of other new teenagers." He emphisized new. For they were, They barely turned Thirteen. "Are irresponisble, Air-Headed teenagers." He smirked across at her. "And no, she doesn't like to attack me because I may be a little forgetful, and probably sometimes negligent... But you didn't hear that from me." He paused for a second. "But yes, she's crazy. And if she heard you talking about her that way. Don't be surprised if she started treating you the same way she does to me." He chuckled lowly at that. "No matter how truthful it is. If it doesn't go her way, You are in the wrong." He inisted now smirking once more as Lily claimed she wouldn't be good. "If you say so then Potter. Don't let your older brother catch you. He could probably run to mummy and daddy." He smirked... almost good naturedly.

Lily crossed her arms, and shifted all her weight to her left leg, a posture that showed as if she didn't believe a word she was saying. The expression upon her face consisted of one eyebrow raised and a questioning look upon her face. Scorpious could say whatever he wanted, she didn't believe a word he said, for the way he was just acting showed her that he was slightly scared and intimidated by his owl. It highly amused her for how could a sixteen year old boy, almost a man, be afraid of a tiny owl? It was a mystery to her, but she sure did enjoy this mystery. When she spoke again she was struggling not to burst out laughing, but she managed to get out, "Whatever you say Scorpious, whatever you say. If it gets you through the day saying you are not scared nor intimidated by your owl, then go ahead and say it." Her look then turned completely serious as she nodded her head in agreement that his owl was spoiled, "Well if that's the case, I suppose it explains why you're so finicky around it." She then couldn't help but to start laughing, for she wasn't able to hold it in anymore, it was just all too funny to her.
As she composed herself somewhat, her laughing turned into coughing, as they started talk about normal things once again, and not Scorpious being afraid of his owl. She was convinced that the poor kid was in denial. She shook her head and smiled, "Oh I know what you mean, don't worry. Yeah I suppose I did accomplish a few things over the sumer, which I'm rather pleased about. What about you? Did you have a good summer? Accomplish anything big?" She created an amusing image in her head of Scorpious trying to play the keyboard, for he didn't seem like the type of guy that could actually sit down and play, nor even understand what he's playing. "I didn't know you played the keyboard? Are you harboring some hidden talent Mr. Malfoy?" she questioned. "Hah, Malfoy I don't know what gave you the idea that the Gryffindors won't have a repeat performance, because I can pretty much guarantee you that we will. You and I both know the Slytherin team is nothing compared to the Gryffindors, or any other house for that matter. So you can just keep living in your dream world," she said confidently.
Her features turned darker and she scowled as he said how Lily was among the group of new teenagers. She didn't like being called that for even though he was older than her, and was supposedly "mature," he was still an irresponsible teenager just as herself. There is no need to classify her as a new teenager for there was really no such thing. Until he turned twenty he was still a teenager in her book. So she had no idea where he came off saying that she was the new teenager who was an air-head and irresponsible. In a scathing voice she stated plainly, "Last time I checked you were still a teenager as well Malfoy, for your what sixteen now which still classifies you as a teenager so you are no different than I am, even though I'm thirteen, since you know that's still a teen. And at least I'm responsible enough to remember all my school supplies," she smirked. Soon her features lightened up though when Scorpious began to talk about his owl and how she was spoiled. Somehow that didn't surprise Lily, but she wasn't going to say that. "Well then, remind me to stay away from your owl, although I think she'll like me for some reason, all the other owls do." She then laughed at the thought of her brothers catching her, they never have before, and even if they had its not like that would stop her, "Oh please, my brothers are big pushovers, I can get out of trouble with them easily, but just giving them the look, and saying I won't ever do it again. Although I think they're catching on that I'm kinda sorta lying sadly."

Scorpius rolled his eyes in Lily’s direction. He could tell she didn’t believe him. But he couldn’t really care about that. He didn’t find it strange that she didn’t believe him either. Somehow when it came to his owl everybody always took her side and claimed he was scared of her, or treated her incorrectly. Those were not the case. As he had told people before she was abnormally spoiled. If he didn’t know better Ember probably thought he should be the one sending her letters to others… or whatever Owl’s wanted done that they didn’t want to do themselves. “Don’t worry.” He smirked slightly at her. “I will say whatever gets me through my day… Which is the truth… But you know. Sometimes people don’t think others are truthful because they aren’t themselves. Just something to think about.” His smirk grew a bit more. She did not believe a word he said and he found it slightly irritating and amusing. “And yes. I suppose that’s it.” He said shaking his head at her. Her laughing was too entertaining.
“I don’t think I accomplished anything big.” He admitted. He liked to be lazy during his summers and just spend his time swimming at their lake. “Unless you’re talking about hotwiring your parents car… But that was only the first time he caught me doing that.” He shrugged. “But nothing really.” He admitted. “Overall though. It was a good summer.” He smiled. He had spent his summer hanging out with his cousin and just plain arguing most of the time. But their arguing was always interesting to watch and listen to. “I didn’t think it was hidden.” He frowned slightly. His cousin was a great guitarist. Did people really think he would let her find something she could do that he couldn’t. Their family was made up of mostly competitive people. “Like I said. I’d rather do rhythm or something over singing and playing guitar.” He shrugged. “As for Gryffindor having a repeat performance. I give you guys the best of luck.” He told her with a smirk. So what if the Slytherin team was much newer to the game they could hold themselves up against them. “And I’m not the one living in a dream world Potter.” He told her with a slight smirk.
His smirk only widened as Lily didn’t take a liking to what he had said. He had been expecting as much. “You need to calm down Potter.” He told her. “You cannot deny you are a new teenager. Nor am I stupid enough to deny I am a teenager.” He spoke looking away from her. Sometimes he wondered why he put up with the younger students that came to Hogwarts. He knew how his younger brother and sisters were, and that they could get the very same way Lily was right now. It was down right irritating. “And yes, I am irresponsible enough to forget my school supplies. But it’s not really irresponsibility but procrastination.” He said looking back at her. She had to know the difference between he just said or else what the hell was he doing even bothering to talk to her when she was around. “And as for my owl liking you. It’s probably not going to happen.” He assured her. “There was only ever one person she liked before she turned on them.” He scowled slightly. “She used to like me I swear.” He assured her. “And your brothers must be pretty d**n stupid then.” He told her. “Number one rule if you have younger brothers and sisters. Never believe them if they’re trying the innocent look to you.” He shook his head slightly in mock disappointment.

Lily just let out an exasperated sigh and rolled her eyes and Scorpious philosophical comment that contradicted her smart comments about his owl. She should have known that he was going to say something like that, for he always did, which slightly irritated her. He always had to say something that would contradict her or make her think, which sometimes she enjoyed, but in this case she found it to be extremely irritating. She knew that he was just trying to appear macho, and not afraid of his owl, but she knew otherwise. "Well I think that maybe we all spoil our animals, so you're not alone in that category. Although I don't many owls that would purposely attack their owners," she commented.
Lily listened as Scorpious described what his summer was like. She was particularly fascinated by how he had hot-wired his parents car. "You hot-wired your parent's car? That's pretty amazing, how did you learn how to do that?" She then thoughtfully how she wished her parents had a car, for her parents traveled mostly through the Floo Network or by Apparating. Her parents didn't see the point in getting a car, so therefore Lily had never been around cars much, so it was interesting to her that Scorpious knew how to hot-wire a car. "Well I'm glad to hear that you had a good summer, even though you didn't accomplish much." She stuck out her tongue playfully following her last comment. She then reflected, "No I don't think it was hidden, I just never knew that you dabbled in playing the keyboard, and other musical instruments. I can see where you would be good at rhythm, maybe sometime Maddie, yourself, and I could all play together." After he wished her good luck with a repeat performance she begrudgingly said, "Good luck to you too, hopefully Slytherin will put up a good fight this year." She then instantly felt as if she needed to wash her mouth out with soap or gag, for she couldn't believe she just wished a Slytherin good luck when it came to Quidditch.
She became even more irritated when Scorpious smirked even wider to her comments, he knew exactly how to get underneath her skin, and irritate her. Of course she really should have expected that he would try to infuriate her even more with his comments, and she should know better than to show how irritated she was, but of course what she should do and what she did do are two completely different things. In a darker tone of voice she stated plainly, "I am calm Malfoy, perfectly calm actually. Also I am not denying that I am a teenager, only that you need not talk to me so differently because I am a few years younger than you." Lily might be only thirteen but she was a lot more mature than people gave her credit for, if people would only see who she hangs around with they would realize all her friends are older, so it would only make sense that she was wise beyond her years. She quickly calmed down and just nodded in agreement when Scorpious talked about his owl. "Of course she did, of course, she's just being difficult now, I guess?" She then laughed at his comments about her brothers, "Oh no they're aren't stupid, be nice to my brothers. They just haven't caught on that I'm not as innocent as I look," she said sweetly.

Scorpius ignored what Lily had said about owls. Yeah, sure. Everyone spoiled their animals. And like she had said. There were hardly any that would attack their own owners. But Ember was a different story. He should probably write a book some day about not clipping an Owl’s wing. Because that was what he had tried to do that had caused Ember to dislike him. He had done it because he wanted to see how well she could fly with slightly clipped wings. It was a stupid thing for him to do, but there was always hope that his owl would grow to like him one day. After that day she had begun to dislike everyone and for a while Scorpius thought he had abused his animal or something. But soon came to realize it was just some stupid grudge a bird had. Who would have guessed a bird could hold a grudge?
So when she asked about him hotwiring his fathers car. He was slightly shocked. He hadn’t expected her to really find it all that interesting. He stood corrected. “I did. And You could say I tinker around with Muggle things That I find.” He told her. “So when my dad got the car of course he wouldn’t let me take it apart or anything.” He said before he continued. “So instead I just began familiarizing myself with it and quickly found out how to hotwire it.” He shrugged slightly pleased that he had managed to learn that on his own. “Besides. I think this Christmas my Father might get me a motorcycle. I‘ve been asking for one for a while now.” He said with a genuine grin on his face. He was stoked, but continued the conversation anyways. “I like a lazy summer. Refreshing to the rush of school.” He shrugged as he put in his two cents. He listened to her speak about his playing and them getting to play together along with Maddie. He shifted his weight from foot to foot. He supposed he could do something like that. “I think we can all manage to get together and play around some time. Maybe we might create some music.” He said with a small smile. “As for the luck you’re giving the Slytherin team. We just don’t need it. Thank you though.” He smirked at her. When it came to pride, he sure as hell had some. He also had a feeling Lily would probably be regretting those words now. Or regretting them on the field. Either way, she was going to regret wishing them luck. His smirk widened with amusement.
Scorpius’ amusement disappeared. She thought he talked differently to her. “See Lily! That’s your problem right there.” He told her, finally unable to take her comment on how he treated her differently for her age. “You think I treat you differently because of your age. Well you can’t be more wrong.” He bit off the words with irritation very evident. “I treat you the same just as anybody else my bloody age. So don’t even complain about that.” He told her. Well, something people had to realize was that Scorpius was an okay guy. But when it came to irritating him to the point where he just couldn’t listen to more of it. Well, he tended to snap at people. Sadly for Lily she was on the end of it this time. But she had overreacted to something so small and trivial. That right there proved to him that she wasn’t as mature as she claimed she was. Or that he was treating her as if she were mature for no reason. That he had been doing that for no particular reason. The feeling was one of great annoyance and irritation.
“Yes. She’s a difficult Owl. So you don’t call that stupid? That they haven’t caught on yet?” He asked her with incredulity showing on his face. “They had two different definitions about stupid then. Because that was exactly what he considered stupid.
